I arrived in Spain just as "Aquí no hay quien viva", a famouse spanish sitcom, was coming to its end, and although I didn't bump into Vicenta in the hallway, I settled in Murcia with the same excitement as Alicia looking for an acting role.
I'm a curious mix: born in Belgium (hence the surname that will make you hesitate over how to pronounce it), but more Murcian than a lemon
I studied Advertising at the University of Murcia and I'm creative by nature. For me, communication is about finding a balance between a creative spark and necessity of the medium. I'm not just looking for a catchy phrase; I understand that the "where" and the "when" are just as important for that message to truly reach the end-user.
My recent years have been spent navigating the (digital) aisles of IKEA, where I learned that selling a wardrobe isn't about talking about the piece itself, but about how to organise a life. I've been the voice behind texts on the national website, from copy for bedrooms to Swedish meatballs.

Copies for KRONÖREN
For this new range of pine furniture, I wrote the following copy:
Copy Life is like KRONÖREN furniture...
Bodycopy: You never know what stroke of genius you'll come up with for it. A dark varnish? Paint it in your favourite colour? Or let it age alongside you? We give you solid pine and a modern design. The rest is your story.
With this phrase, I wanted to give a nod to a classic from Forrest Gump: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get"
As a range of customisable pine furniture, the copy refers to never knowing what you might come up with to do with that furniture. Painting them, customising and constantly changing them. Ending the bodycopy with the idea that the furniture helps you tell "your" story, by being so customisable. (Returning to the Forrest Gump reference that ends with "The rest is history").
